MOSS-Image prompt library

Long, exact text is what MOSS-Image is built for. These 16 prompts were written for this site: Chinese letters and notices, English recipe cards and magazine pages, bilingual posters, product ads, and signs. Each has a recommended canvas size.

Handwritten letter on a desk (Chinese)

Chinese long text · Chinese text · 1024×1360

Top-down photo of a sheet of cream letter paper on a walnut desk, a fountain pen and a cup of tea beside it, soft morning window light. The letter is handwritten in neat blue-black Chinese running script, eight lines, left aligned:
“亲爱的小林:
展信佳。杭州这几天一直下雨,
西湖边的桂花却开得正好。
上次你说想学做龙井虾仁,
我把外婆的做法抄在背面了。
记得虾要先用蛋清抓一抓,
火不要太大。
等你回来,我们一起去满觉陇喝茶。”
Signature at the bottom right: “阿梅 十月十八日”.

Explicit line breaks inside the quotes tell MOSS-Image where each line ends — the official guide recommends real line breaks or \n for precise wrapping.

Community notice board (Chinese)

Chinese long text · Chinese text · 1024×1360

A printed A4 notice pinned with four red pushpins on a cork board in a residential building lobby, realistic photo, slight perspective. Bold black title at the top: “停水通知”. Body text in a clean Chinese sans-serif, five lines:
“因市政管道检修,本小区将于
10月21日(周三)9:00—17:00 暂停供水。
请各位住户提前储水,关好水龙头。
恢复供水初期水质可能浑浊,放水片刻即可。
给您带来不便,敬请谅解。”
Bottom right: “物业服务中心 2026年10月18日”.

Mixes numbers, dates, time ranges and full-width punctuation — a good stress test for Chinese text rendering.

Classical poem on a hanging scroll

Chinese long text · Chinese text · 768×1360

A traditional Chinese hanging scroll on a white plaster wall, rice paper with silk mounting in pale celadon, a small red seal stamp. Vertical calligraphy in black ink, written top to bottom and right to left, four columns of seven characters:
“空山新雨后
天气晚来秋
明月松间照
清泉石上流”
Next to it a smaller column: “王维 山居秋暝”. Soft gallery lighting, high detail on brush texture.

Tests vertical writing direction. Keep each column on its own line in the prompt and state the reading order.

Recipe card with ingredients list

English long text · English text · 1024×1360

A printed recipe card lying on a linen kitchen towel next to a bowl of tomatoes, overhead photo, natural light. Title in a bold serif at the top: “Grandma’s Tomato Soup”. Under it a two-column layout. Left column heading “Ingredients” followed by:
“6 ripe tomatoes
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic
2 cups vegetable stock
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and basil”
Right column heading “Method” followed by:
“1. Soften onion and garlic in oil.
2. Add tomatoes and stock, simmer 20 min.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Season and serve with basil.”

Two text columns with headings: describe the column structure in words before giving each block of text.

Magazine page with paragraph text

English long text · English text · 1024×1360

An open lifestyle magazine page photographed flat, clean editorial design. A large headline across the top: “The Slow Coffee Movement”. A pull quote in italic orange: “Good coffee takes four minutes. Good mornings take longer.” Below, a single column of body text in a small serif:
“Across the city, a new wave of cafés is asking customers to wait. Instead of push-button espresso, baristas weigh beans, heat water to 93 degrees and pour by hand. The result is a cup that tastes of fruit and caramel rather than bitterness. Owners say the ritual matters as much as the drink: it gives people a reason to put down their phones and talk.”
A photo of a pour-over kettle in the right third of the page.

A paragraph of 70+ words is where many open models break down; the technical report measures this kind of long-form text rendering.

Bilingual tea festival poster

Posters & events · Chinese + English · 880×1184

A vertical promotional poster for a spring tea festival. Soft green watercolor background with tea leaves and a white porcelain cup. Large bold Chinese calligraphy title at the top: “春茶上新”. Below it a smaller line of Chinese text: “明前龙井 · 限量五百份”. At the bottom, small English text: “Spring Tea Fair 2026 · Hangzhou”. Clean layout, elegant typography, generous margins.

Three levels of hierarchy (title, sub-title, footer) in two scripts; describe size and position for each line.

Indie concert gig poster

Posters & events · English text · 768×1360

Risograph-style gig poster, two ink colours (fluorescent pink and teal) on off-white paper, visible grain and slight misregistration. Huge stacked hand-drawn letters filling the top half: “NIGHT / TRAINS”. A silhouette of a vintage train crossing a bridge under a big moon in the middle. Bottom block in a condensed sans-serif:
“LIVE AT THE OLD DEPOT
FRIDAY 20 NOVEMBER · DOORS 8PM
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS PAPER LANTERNS”

Using “/” to mark a deliberate line break in a stacked title is clearer than hoping the model wraps it for you.

Chinese film poster

Posters & events · Chinese text · 768×1360

Cinematic movie poster, a lone cyclist on a coastal road at dusk, orange and teal grading, film grain. Large white Chinese title with a brushed metallic texture in the upper third: “海风来信”. English subtitle below in thin spaced capitals: “LETTERS FROM THE SEA WIND”. Tagline in small Chinese text: “有些告别,是为了更好地重逢”. Bottom credit block in tiny condensed text and the line “2026年12月 温柔上映”.

Film-poster conventions (credit block, tagline, release line) give the model a familiar structure to follow.

Skincare product ad (Chinese copy)

Product & ads · Chinese + English · 1024×1024

Minimal studio product shot of a frosted glass serum bottle with a gold dropper on a pale sage stone pedestal, water ripples and soft shadows, clean beige background. Brand-neutral label on the bottle reads “HYDRA 7”. Large elegant Chinese headline at the top left: “一滴水润,七天透亮”. Three small benefit lines on the right with thin icons:
“玻尿酸 · 深层补水
烟酰胺 · 提亮肤色
无香精 · 敏感肌可用”

E-commerce style key visual: product, headline and benefit bullets. Use your own product name — avoid real brands and logos.

Double-11 sale banner

Product & ads · Chinese text · 1360×768

Wide e-commerce sale banner, vibrant red-to-orange gradient, gold confetti and gift boxes, 3D glossy style. Huge bold Chinese text in the centre: “双11 狂欢预售”. Below it a white rounded label: “满300减50 · 定金翻倍”. Small text at the bottom right: “10.20 20:00 准时开抢”. Leave the left third for a stack of wrapped gift boxes.

Numbers and promotion terms must be exact; put each price rule inside its own quoted string.

Four-step how-to infographic

Infographics & cards · English text · 880×1184

A clean flat infographic titled “How to Brew Pour-Over Coffee” in bold navy at the top. Four numbered steps arranged vertically, each with a simple icon on the left and text on the right:
“1. Grind 15 g of coffee, medium-fine.”
“2. Rinse the paper filter with hot water.”
“3. Bloom with 30 g water for 30 seconds.”
“4. Pour slowly to 250 g in circles.”
Light cream background, thin dividers between steps, small footer text: “Ratio 1:16 · Water 93°C”.

Numbered steps are easy to read back. For exact placement of each step, build the same content in the layout builder.

Chinese knowledge card

Writing the whole prompt in Chinese also works; the official guide says English has the most training data but Chinese is supported.

Shopfront with neon and menu sign

Real-world signs & notes · Chinese + English · 1360×768

Night street photo of a small noodle shop in an old Shanghai lane, wet pavement reflecting light. A red neon sign above the door reads “阿婆面馆”. A white lightbox beside the door lists:
“葱油拌面 ¥15
大排面 ¥22
黄鱼面 ¥38”
A small handwritten paper sign taped to the glass: “Open till 2AM · 营业至凌晨两点”. Warm interior light, a few customers at steel tables, 35mm photo.

Text on real surfaces (neon, lightbox, paper) — describe the material for each sign so the model renders it in context.

Meeting whiteboard notes

Real-world signs & notes · English text · 1360×768

A whiteboard in a bright startup office, handwritten notes in blue and red marker, slightly messy but legible. Title underlined at the top left: “Q4 Launch Plan”. Three columns:
“Week 1
- finalize pricing
- landing page copy”
“Week 2
- beta invites (200)
- fix onboarding bugs”
“Week 3
- press kit
- launch on Nov 24!”
A red circle around “Nov 24!”, sticky notes in the corner, shallow depth of field.

Handwritten lists with dashes and numbers; the official README uses a similar whiteboard to compare Base vs SFT.

Sticky note on a fridge (Chinese)

Real-world signs & notes · Chinese text · 1024×1024

Close-up photo of a yellow sticky note held by a cat-shaped magnet on a white fridge door, soft kitchen light. Handwritten in black marker, Chinese:
“周六要做的事:
① 交电费
② 给妈妈打电话
③ 买猫粮(要鸡肉味!)”
A small doodle of a smiling cat at the bottom corner.

Circled numbers and parentheses are easy to get wrong — keeping them inside one quoted block helps.

Novel book cover

Posters & events · English text · 880×1184

Hardcover book cover, minimalist design: a single paper boat floating on dark ink-blue water, viewed from above, subtle paper texture. Title in large elegant serif, centered in the top third: “The Quiet Harbour”. Author name at the bottom in spaced small caps: “ELENA MARCH”. A small line above the author: “A Novel”. Gold foil effect on the title.

Short, high-impact text works even at low step counts; use it to compare Base and SFT or 8-step community variants.

How to write text-heavy prompts

  1. Set the scene first, in English: medium, subject, lighting, camera.
  2. Quote the exact text, in the language it should appear in.
  3. Break lines yourself.
  4. Describe hierarchy and position in words, or switch to the layout builder.
  5. Give dense text a large canvas, about 1.5M–2M pixels.
